QWhat's the difference between 10 minute mail and a regular temp mail?

"10 minute mail" is the nickname most people use for any short-lived throwaway email, and it's the same category of tool as temp mail or disposable email. Foxtemp's default lifespan is 3 hours, longer than the classic ten minutes; the address and every message are destroyed automatically once it expires.

QHow long does a temporary email address last, and can I extend it?

Every address is valid for 3 hours by default, with a live countdown on the page. You can top it back up to a full 3 hours as many times as you like, but the total lifetime of a single address is capped at 24 hours — after that, generate a new one.

QIs it safe to receive verification codes with a burner email? Can anyone else see them?

Each inbox is protected by its own random access token, so only whoever holds that link can open it; everything is wiped the moment the address expires. We don't sell data and we don't run third-party ad scripts. For anything involving money or long-term accounts, use a forwarding alias or your real email instead.

QCan a disposable email receive attachments?

No. The temp inbox flags a message as having an attachment, but the file itself is never stored or downloadable. If you need attachments, sign in and use a permanent forwarding alias — messages ≤50MB are forwarded and kept in the 30-day archive for download; 50–100MB still forward in full (attachments included) but are not kept on this site; over 100MB is rejected.

QMy verification code isn't showing up — what do I do?

First check the address was copied in full and the countdown hasn't hit zero. Most mail lands within seconds, though a few senders lag by a minute or two — try a manual refresh. If a site outright rejects disposable-email domains, switch to a forwarding alias. More troubleshooting on the FAQ page.

QDoes Foxtemp charge anything, or send email out?

It's entirely free, no paid tiers. The product is receive-only for both the temp inbox and forwarding aliases — you can't send or reply from either, which by design rules out the addresses ever being used to spam anyone.
